Getting Started in Slop Tower Defense
First wins, free rewards, early attackers, and the path to redeeming codes.
Welcome to Slop Tower Defense, the Roblox strategy tower defense experience by Slop TD! This beginner guide gets you from tutorial confusion to consistent Normal wins, the 10-win Codes unlock, and a roster that can tackle Hard without melting.
If you only skim one section, remember this rule: claim Playtime Rewards and Quests, field three or more attackers before farms, and clear Brainrot Bases Base on Normal. Everything else builds on that foundation.
What the game is
You place units along enemy paths, upgrade them with Cash, and survive wave pressure across maps such as Brainrot Bases, Toilet Territory, Retro Revival, and rotating Event playlists. Difficulties climb from Normal to Hard to Nightmare. Currencies include Cash, Gems, Stars, Sheckles, Suns, and Slopbux. Summons expand your roster; crafting upgrades key pieces.
Minute-zero checklist
- Launch the experience from the official Roblox page and finish the short onboarding.
- Open reward panels and claim Playtime Rewards whenever timers complete.
- Check Quests for easy Cash, Gems, or items tied to simple objectives.
- Enter Brainrot Bases → Base → Normal — not Endless, not Nightmare.
- Place attackers first. Delay heavy farm investment until three DPS units are online.
- After ten wins, redeem codes via How to Redeem Codes starting with
SLOP.
First match strategy
Placement order
Early waves punish greed. Drop your strongest available attackers on chokepoints covering the longest path segments. Add a second and third attacker before you spam farm units. Freddy Trashcan looks tempting as a farm engine but often traps beginners into under-damaging boards that leak.
Upgrades vs new placements
Upgrade existing attackers when the next wave clearly outscales raw unit count. Add a new body when coverage gaps appear on alternate lanes. Keep a Cash buffer for emergency placements — going to zero before a boss wave is a common wipe cause.
After the win
Bank rewards, claim any Quest progress, and queue again. Consistency beats heroic Nightmare attempts. Your short-term goal is the Codes unlock plus a stable Normal clear time, not leaderboard flexes.
Free income before summons
Playtime Rewards and Quests are the cleanest early Cash sources besides match payouts. Stack them with the official SLOP code (about 900 Cash) and other active codes once unlocked. Basic Summon costs sit at 500 Cash single, 4750 for x10, and 20000 for x50. Resist Premium Gem pulls until you understand Best Units targets.
Early roster priorities
You will not own S-tier trade pieces on day one. Aim for any reliable attackers that survive Normal. As you summon and craft, watch for paths toward community S-tier names: Cockey Poseidon, Watch of Doom, Star Fruit, Upgraded Titan TV Man, Patriot TV Man, Party Cat, and Upgraded Titan Clock Man. A-tier mentions such as Moon Blossom and True Slap Man also stabilize midgame boards.
For DPS context from community showcases: Exclusive Laser Toilet can sit near 7500, Emperor Midas near 5733, and King Midas near 2800 with splash plus farm utility. Use those figures as aspiration benchmarks, not starter expectations.
When to leave Base Normal
Move to Night Base, Gold Base, or Hard only after Normal clears feel routine and your attacker count stays healthy through late waves. Read Maps before Endless or Event playlists. Brainrot Endless and Nightmare punish thin economies.
Codes unlock plan
Many players stall because they hunt codes before ten wins. Flip that: farm easy Normal clears, then open Settings or Shop on the left HUD, scroll to Codes, and redeem. Full troubleshooting lives on the redeem guide. Active high-confidence strings in September 2026 include SLOP, MINIUPDATE, 1MVISITS!, 3KSERVERMEMBERS, 3KCCU, data wipe codes, bear5, and evil_kanye.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Slop Tower Defense players.
What map should beginners play first?
Brainrot Bases Base on Normal. It teaches placement without Endless or Nightmare pressure.
Why do people say avoid Freddy Trashcan early?
It is a farm-focused unit that beginners overbuild, leaving boards without enough attackers to finish waves.
When can I redeem codes?
After ten completed wins. Then open Settings or Shop on the left and scroll to Codes.
Should I buy Premium Summons immediately?
Usually no. Use Cash for Basic Summons first and save Gems until you know which units are worth chasing.
Where do I go after my first wins?
Read How to Play, redeem codes, then study Summons and Crafting plus the Best Units tier page.
